A Big Thank You!!!
A month has now passed since we held our bonfire and fireworks event in Langham to raise funds for our beautiful village and community.
We are incredibly pleased to announce that we made a profit of just under £5,000 which will all be put back into the village and used to make facilities better for all of us.
If anyone has any ideas how they would like to see this spent, please let us know.
The success of this event would not have been possible without ALL of our wonderful sponsors:
Our main financial contributors:
Langham Hall Estate, LJ Rose Accounting, Palmer and Partners and Colchester Mortgages, THANK YOU again for sponsoring our village event this year!!!
We are incredibly proud that all of our sponsors are either local or in the close vicinity of Langham and would like to thank the following (in no particular order!):
- CSH Environmental Ltd who very kindly donated the bins on the night
- Bee Line for sponsoring the children's rides
- Schofield Removals for providing their truck and the stage for James Burrage, our talented singer!
- Langham Community Shop and their volunteers for selling the drinks, crisps and snacks on the stalls
- James Puxley, Roger Hobday and 2nd Langham scouts and parents for helping with the carpark
- Langham Oaks School for providing their carpark
- Red Plant Sales Ltd and Rob Gamble for providing the floodlighting
- Michael Hobday for all other lighting at the event
- P.G Rix Farms for allowing us to let the fireworks off in their field
- Paul Halsall for coming to the rescue and pulling the doughnut truck free from the mud!
We would also like to thank Jack Rabbit Brewery who provided their own delicious beers brewed just down the road in Ardleigh and Dynamic Fireworks for providing us with a wonderful fireworks display!
Thank you to all the food vans that attended:
Yum Yum Snacks and event catering
Mac St Kitchen
The Doughnut Company
Sir Isaacs Artisan Coffee
Howell Fish & chips - van 25
Finally, this event would not have been possible without all the volunteers, including the Boxted Runners and refugees staying at the Holiday Inn who gave up their precious time to help out with the organisation, set up and clear down of the marquees and other equipment needed as well as volunteering on the night to help on the gates, carpark and stalls. THANK YOU!
Please contact us at clerk@langhamparishcouncil.co.ukif you are interested in sponsoring our event in any way in 2024 or if you can spare some time and would like to get involved with the planning and running of next years event.
