Planning Process
Langham Planning Applications
The local Planning Authority for the Parish of Langham is Colchester City Council (CCC). CCC notifies Langham Parish Council of planning applications that it accepts and that are related to land in the Parish. Once notified of an application the Parish Council then has 21 days to make a representation to CBC. The Parish Council’s response to these applications will be based on Planning Policy guidance.
The Parish Council response must represent the views of the residents of the village based on information collected from past surveys, parish meetings or known local views.

Furthermore, it makes its views known to the City Council through publications e.g. Village Design Statement and meeting with the City Council planning team.
