This is the third site to come forward as a planning application from the three large developments identified as part of the Colchester Local Plan. It was submitted in June 2022 as an application for the erection 13 houses at the southern end of Wick Road (rather than the 10 houses stated in the Local Plan). LPC objected to the application with particular emphasis on the increased number of houses and also the ongoing sewerage capacity problem at the Langham WRC. Anglian Water's response to the application also noted the lack of capacity at the Langham WRC.

The latest information regarding this development can be found on the Colchester City Council Planning Portal (link below). No decision on this application appears to have been made. LPC will continue to monitor the situation and make representations as appropriate.
